Executive Director & Owner, LCSW, CASAC, A-CBT

Dena Lampert

In 2018, I formed Triangle Cognitive Therapy, a group practice serving adolescents and adults in the community. In following the adage that "two heads are better than one", my thinking was to create a multi-disciplinary group of clinicians in order to expand the scope of the practice and be able to provide increased and more specialized services to the community.

For many years, I have naturally gravitated toward the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model. This evidenced-based model focuses on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected, like the points of a triangle.

Often, when we find that our behavior is dysfunctional, it is usually connected to distorted thoughts and feelings. CBT teaches us how to become mindful of our distorted thinking and how it affects us emotionally and behaviorally. In my experience, this approach is very effective in helping to create a change in life.

Associate Director, LMHC, EDD

Dr. Carrie Sollin

Although I consider myself an eclectic counselor I tend to always gravitate towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. I feel this approach works best with setting goals and achieving them. CBT therapy is effective in so many aspects of our life, in school, at work, and at home. These skills are critical when achieving our own life happiness.

Most of my experience has been with the young adult population, I specialize in anxiety-related concerns, relationship and family issues, transitional concerns, self-image and social problems, and trauma. Since I began my journey at Triangle Cognitive Therapy in 2018, I have taken on more of an administrative role as Associate Director assisting in all aspects of program development, the formation of our group practice, supervision, and other administrative responsibilities.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I use CBT techniques to identify patterns of behavior and thinking that may be creating negative cycles. Our work will help you think or do things differently in order to increase your satisfaction in life.

I hope to work with individuals, couples, and families to treat their individual, relational and social issues. We will work together on overcoming any challenges you are facing, and I will support you in moving forward.

I am happy to bring over 15 years of medical administration and billing experience to Triangle Cognitive Therapy I've always had an inherent desire to help people and that's what drew me to the medical field. I feel like there is always a way for people to communicate and problem-solve peacefully with one another with mutual respect.

I love to hike, do Pilates, strength train, and am about all things health and wellness. I am a big believer in the mind-body connection ad believe emotional and physical balance go hand in hand.

My journey as a therapist began with a desire to help individuals navigate life's challenges and discover their inner strength. Through a client-centered approach, I strive to create a strong therapeutic alliance, encourage open communication, and assist in building resilience to face future challenges. Using my knowledge and training in CBT and Mindfulness practices, I tailor my therapeutic techniques to meet the different needs of each individual.

My experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults with a variety of mental health concerns has allowed me to gain an understanding of effective forms of treatment within each population. Together we can create a foundation to thrive by challenging ourselves and exploring our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

I have worked with individuals who have experienced challenges during significant life changes, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I am a firm believer that not all therapeutic approaches fit all. CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing have been shown to be beneficial throughout my experience as a therapist.

With this increased insight, clients can challenge these maladaptive thoughts which can lead to improvements in behaviors and positive outcomes in their lives.

Much of my experience has been working with children and families with a range of mental health needs, including Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Grief, and Childhood trauma. I have focused much of my work on children and adolescents to target and expand upon mindfulness techniques, grounding exercises, self-advocacy, and social skills to succeed and promote healthy childhood development.

My goal as your therapist is to foster a safe and trusting environment where individuals can thrive socially and emotionally. I tend to gravitate towards a person-centered and strengths-based approach to support my clients in empowering and advocating for themselves and working through life’s challenging moments.

I am fluent in Spanish and English and I am excited to use my knowledge and skills to help children, teens, and adults who might be more comfortable with therapy in Spanish.

My goal is to empower my clients, as I wholeheartedly believe in the ability to change while learning to be gentle with oneself. Through multiple techniques, I aspire to help change the way you may think and feel about yourself and the world, by identifying unhealthy thinking and helping you challenge them.

I strongly believe in the importance of a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment, in addition to an individualized approach to therapy, one that allows me to work collaboratively with my clients to best assist them and their needs. CBT and motivational interviewing techniques allow this customized approach to flow naturally.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples with a wide variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, communication difficulties, social difficulties, and more. I will be there to not only support you, but also challenge you in a healthy and productive way to achieve your goals.
